Emir of Qatar arrives in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in Islamabad today on a two-day visit to Pakistan, ARY News reported.
Emir of Qatar arrived in Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He was warmly greeted at the airport by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Sheikh Tamim was presented a 21-gun salute on his arrival at the Noor Khan Airbase in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif introduced members of his cabinet and services chiefs to the guest. The Prime Minister also shook hands with the entourage of the Qatari Emir.
It is Emir of Qatar’s first official visit to Pakistan as the Emir of Qatar. He had visited Pakistan as Crown Prince in 2010. The Qatari Emir is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Cabinet Ministers, Chairman of Qatar Airways and senior government officials.
