Sarwar agrees to join PTI: sources
ISLAMABAD: Former governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has shown his ‘conditional consent’ to join Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), ARY News cited sources as saying.
According to details, Chaudhry Sarwar called on the chairman PTI, Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence on Sunday evening.
During the meeting, both the leaders exchanged views on political situation of the country. Sources told that the former governor conditionally agreed to join PTI.
It was further reported that Sarwar is seeking a major party post and he is likely to be instated as PTI’s central president.
The post of party president fell vacant after veteran politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi had resigned on October 1, last year, due to serious reservations with rest of the leadership.
Hashmi following his resignation had also made some shocking revelations pertaining to the ‘anti-democracy’ role of PTI.
