Shahbaz lays foundation stone of Royai Textile Industrial Park Project
FAISALABAD: Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has said that former rulers delayed the Nandipur Power Project with a capacity of 425 MWs, for the sake of commission. He once again claimed to end power outages from the country, yet this time in next four years – ARY News reports.
Addressing the ceremony on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of the Royai Textile Industrial Park in M3 Industrial City, Faisalabad on Wednesday.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Pak-Chine friendship is deeper than the sea and more durable than iron’s strength. He said that 35 thousand job opportunities will be produced with the Chinese investment worth of 2 billion USD in the Royai Textile Park and it will generate 270 MWs of electricity.
Shahbaz claimed that now industries will not be shut due to energy crisis.
He further said that former rulers kept the Nandipur Power Plant’s machinery limited to Karachi port for 3 years, wherefrom a lot of equipment was stolen. He inquired whether this machinery was purchased from enemy’s funds, that it was exploited in such a manner.
The CM Punjab said that the times of cruelty and injustice are gone now.
On this occasion, the Administrator of the Chinese Embassy, Chairman of the Royai Group, Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah, Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq and other higher officials were also present.
